Making The Decorations
We’re just measuring the ribbon around the basket, and we’re just going to extend it just a little bit, so that we have enough ribbon to go around the basket and tie.
Now we’re securing the ribbon around the basket and just tying it in place. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Once you tie any loose ends, you could just tuck behind the ribbon.
We will be using some empty plastic bags to fill some space inside the basket. What we’re trying to do is have the plastic bags take shape of the basket, so that we can place the items on top. We want to place the bags so that they kind of overflow the basket. If you don’t have paper bags, you can use newspapers, or anything else to fill it.
So now we’re going to use tissue to tuck that in, and cover the plastic bags. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it’s to kind of hide the plastic bags. Then we’re going to add that fluffy tissue paper that we did in step 1. We can just tuck that behind at the back. It doesn’t have to be perfect.
So then we have a lotus flower wand, and just to kind of spice things up a bit, we have some cute trinkets. We’re going to tape it to the back of the lotus flower wand, because we want to show the trinkets on the basket.
